In my experience, I should not show any of the paintings that I am working with, or talk about them. My work must enclosed in my mind and available only to me. If I talk to someone, or show any of my work, the spell is broken and valuable time and energy is lost to building up focus again. Furthermore, it is my experience that when a collection of paintings is completed, they need time to 'cool off' before I can show them. What I can say about my present work is that it is very exciting and it is with great curiosity that I look forward to what is behind the next corner. |
I have in general terms told you about my painting, without the ambition of giving a detailed account in any way. I wanted to make my paintings a little bit more alive and also give you a certain amount of understanding how everything is interrelated in a mysterious and not at all obvious way. For me as an artist it is important to give you as a spectator the freedom to experience your own impressions of my paintings and to have your own thoughts about them. Therefore, I will not say any more than this but instead invite you to visit the exhibitions. |
